To commemorate High Five a Librarian Day, I've put together a list of fantasy books, TV shows and movies that prominently feature librarians or libraries.

A mysterious stranger rides into a corrupt, violence-ridden town and proceeds to clean things up in his own no-holds-barred fashion. Set that in the Wild Wild West and you’ve got the plot of every spaghetti Western movie. Put it in a medieval fantasy world and you have Brutal, a novel very much in the tradition of pulp-era S&S classics like Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories and Clark Ashton Smith’s Hyperborean cycle.

Getting captured by the king can ruin your whole rebellion.

So… I’m one of the roughly a zillion people who had great intentions to start a blog and never got beyond that first post. Until now!

What does a sword-and-sorcery novelist blog about? In my case, it's a mix of medieval weaponry and fighting techniques, the evolution of the fantasy genre, and other nuggets of historical or fantasy-related trivia. Plus book reviews, and funny poodle antics if all else fails.
